Khelo India Para Games 2025 Unveils Anthem, Mascot, and Logo in the Presence of Sports Minister Mandaviya

On Tuesday, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, unveiled the anthem for the Khelo India Para Games 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium complex. The second edition of these para games is scheduled to take place at three venues in the capital from March 20 to 27.

The event, which was launched alongside the Fit India Carnival, also saw the release of the Khelo India Para Games mascot, ‘Ujjwala,’ by Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse. The design of ‘Ujjwala’ draws inspiration from the house sparrow, a symbol of pride and resilience in Delhi. Just as the sparrow was once on the brink of extinction, ‘Ujjwala’ represents para-athletes, who embody the spirit of perseverance and determination.

Amid great enthusiasm, the logo for the Games was jointly launched by Devendra Jhajharia, president of the Paralympic Committee of India and ex-Paralympian, along with Sminu Jindal, founder chairperson of Svayam, the accessibility partner for Khelo India Para Games 2025.

Dr. Mandaviya expressed, “Today is indeed special. As we conclude the inaugural Fit India carnival, which saw 25,000 participants, we now turn our focus to the Khelo India Para Games. This demonstrates the continuity in India’s sporting ecosystem and serves as an inspiration for all athletes.”

“The KIPG will feature over 1,300 athletes—a remarkable achievement. These Games aim to chart a path for emerging talent. In sports, there are no losers; someone wins while others learn, which is the essence of competition,” he added.

The Khelo India Para Games 2025 logo portrays a dynamic athlete in orange, green, and blue, symbolizing movement, inclusivity, and progress. The vibrant portrayal of ‘Khelo India’ and ‘Para Games 2025’ in bold blue and white signifies strength, complemented by orange accents.

Incorporating images of Delhi’s iconic landmarks—such as the new parliament building, Bharat Mandapam, and Delhi Metro, along with the sacred Yamuna River— the bottom graphic features para-athletes in action. The bilingual tagline ‘Champions Beyond Limits’ and ‘Haunslon ki Udaan’ strongly reflect the unwavering determination of para-athletes who push their boundaries.

The anthem was also introduced, featuring the uplifting lyrics “khelega khelega mera India, jeetega jeetega mera India,” aimed at motivating both the athletes on the field and their supporters in the audience.

The KIPG 2025 will run from March 20 to March 27, showcasing competitions across six para sports disciplines: para-archery, para-athletics, para-badminton, para powerlifting, para shooting, and para table tennis at three venues—the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium, and the Dr. Karni Singh shooting range in New Delhi.

The event will host over 1,300 participants, including several elite para-athletes, such as gold medalist archer Harvinder Singh, club thrower Dharambir, and high jumper Praveen Kumar. The Khelo India Para Games 2025 is the second national sporting event organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) this year, following last week’s Khelo India Winter Games that concluded in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir.
