Katrina Kaif’s “Fortunate” Visit to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela
“I feel incredibly fortunate to be here this time. It’s a beautiful experience, and I am truly thankful for it. Meeting Swami Chidanand Saraswati was particularly special. I’m just starting to explore everything, and the energy here is remarkable. I look forward to spending the whole day at the Mela,” she shared with ANI.
This visit follows her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal’s, participation in the Maha Kumbh rituals on February 13, which coincided with the promotion of his upcoming film, ‘Chhaava.’

The Maha Kumbh Mela, held at the sacred Triveni Sangam—the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers—continues to draw millions, including prominent figures. Earlier that day, actor Akshay Kumar also took a holy dip, commending the arrangements.
“I’m grateful to CM Yogi ji for the outstanding organization here. The facilities are well-managed, and everything is proceeding seamlessly,” Akshay noted, acknowledging the dedication of officials and security personnel.
With the grand event nearing its conclusion, the final major bathing ritual is planned for February 26 in celebration of Mahashivratri. As reported by the Uttar Pradesh government’s Information Department, nearly 630 million people have visited the sacred site this year.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay retained the Perambur constituency after winning from two seats in the Assembly election and resigned from the Tiruchchi East seat.
Reports now suggest that popular actor, director, and choreographer Raghava Lawrence may contest the upcoming by-election from Tiruchchi East on behalf of Vijay’s TVK party. The news has been widely discussed on social media.
Raghava Lawrence is known for his charitable work and support for differently-abled people, orphaned children, and senior citizens. His strong public image is seen as an advantage if he enters the race.
Earlier, rumours claimed that actress Trisha Krishnan would contest from the constituency, but those reports were later dismissed.

The by-election for Tiruchchi East has not yet been announced, and there has been no official confirmation regarding the party’s candidate. However, reports indicate that Vijay may choose a close associate to contest from the seat.
Film : Kannada star actor Duniya Vijay is set to appear in the upcoming Telugu film Slum Dog. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role and is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
The film has already created a positive buzz in the Telugu film industry. Reports suggest that Duniya Vijay will be seen in a unique and important role.
The makers have announced that the first teaser of Slum Dog will be released on June 8. They also shared a new poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi holding a blood-stained weapon.
The film is said to be based on life in a slum and revolves around a beggar mafia story. Earlier, the team released a poster of Duniya Vijay in a colorful outfit and hat, creating curiosity about his character.

Film: Kannada actor and filmmaker Rakshit Shetty celebrated his birthday on June 6 with fans and film personalities showering him with wishes on social media.
