Kasaragod: Two Arrested With ₹2 Lakh Worth Banned Tobacco Products
Kasaragod: The Manjeshwar Excise Department has confiscated tobacco products worth nearly ₹2 lakh that were being illegally transported from Karnataka to Kerala in a car, leading to the arrest of two individuals.

The suspects, identified as Afzal (32) and Ashraf (30) from Vadagara, were caught during a vehicle check in Manjeshwar on Wednesday. Officials discovered around 214 kg of banned tobacco products inside the vehicle.
Investigations indicated that the duo had been distributing and selling these products across various regions of Kerala. Authorities believe they are linked to a larger network engaged in smuggling and trading prohibited tobacco items within the state.

Mother-in-Law Kills Daughter-in-Law Over Tea in Kerala
Kerala: A shocking murder took place in Karulai near Nilambur in Malappuram district of Kerala on Monday morning. A 72-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her daughter-in-law to death after a dispute over making tea.
The victim has been identified as Rajila (28), the wife of Sunil Babu and a resident of Karulai. The accused, Shantha (72), who is Sunil Babu’s mother, has been arrested by the Pookkottumpadam police.
The incident happened at around 6:30 am on Monday. Reports say there had been frequent family disputes in the house earlier.
On Monday morning, Shantha reportedly asked Rajila to prepare tea for her. Rajila allegedly refused to make tea. This led to a heated argument between them.
In a fit of anger, Shantha allegedly attacked Rajila with a knife. The attack happened in front of Rajila’s two daughters.
Hearing the children cry, neighbours rushed to the house and informed the police. Rajila was found lying in a pool of blood.

She was immediately taken to Nilambur Taluk Government Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead.
The Pookkottumpadam police arrested the accused and started an investigation into the case.

Malayalam Actor Harimurali Found Dead at Home in Kerala
Kerala: Malayalam actor Harimurali has been found dead at his residence in Kerala. He was 27 years old.
His body was discovered at his house in Payyannur. The exact cause of his death is not known yet. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Harimurali was well known as a child actor in the Malayalam film industry. He acted in more than 50 films during his career.
He made his film debut in 2004 with the Malayalam movie Rasikan. The film was directed by Lal Jose and starred Dileep.
After that, he appeared in several films as a child actor. Some of his notable films include Annan Thambi, Madampi, and Don. He gained recognition for his performances in these movies.
Later, Harimurali took a break from acting to continue his education. After a few years, he returned to the film industry.
He made a comeback with the movie Amar Akbar Anthony, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran. In the film, he played the role of the younger brother.

Apart from acting, Harimurali also worked in the film industry as a VFX artist.
The sudden death of the young actor has shocked the Malayalam film industry. Police are continuing their investigation to find out the exact reason behind his death.

Kasargod: Haidi Sadiya, who had earlier made headlines for her grand wedding, has opened up about her divorce from Atharv Mohan.
Haidi, known as Kerala’s first transgender journalist, spoke about her failed marriage in a recent interview with former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant K. B. Sharika. She shared the painful reasons behind their separation.
Haidi and Atharv, a transman, got married in a grand ceremony. Their wedding had received wide media attention. However, the couple separated within two years through mutual consent.
In the interview, Haidi said that they never had a physical relationship after marriage. She said there was no emotional bond between them from the first day until the day they parted ways. She added that if there had been even a small emotional connection, she would have continued in the relationship.
Haidi said the marriage happened when she was very young and soon after she completed her studies. She also mentioned that there was a big age difference between her and Atharv. According to her, they had very different thoughts and opinions on most matters.
