Kareena and Saif Rush to Support Karisma Kapoor Following the Passing of Her Ex-Husband Sunjay Kapur

Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were spotted visiting Karisma Kapoor’s home in Mumbai late Thursday night. Their visit followed the unexpected passing of Karisma’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, who died in England at the age of 53.

Kareena and Saif arrived discreetly, attempting to evade media attention. Kareena appeared visibly upset, shielding her face from photographers, while Saif provided comfort and support by her side.

Sunjay Kapur, a prominent figure in the Indian automotive industry and Chairman of Sona Comstar, was once married to Karisma Kapoor. They wed in 2003 and welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2005 and son Kiaan in 2011. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2016, following a separation filed in 2014. Sunjay later remarried Priya Sachdev.

The news of Sunjay’s sudden death has left many in shock. Reports indicate that he suffered a fatal heart attack during a polo match in England, seemingly triggered by an unusual incident involving a bee.

Suhel Seth, a close friend and business consultant, confirmed the heart-wrenching news to ANI and later expressed his grief on social media. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Deeply saddened by the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England. A terrible loss, and my deepest condolences to his family and colleagues at @sonacomstar…Om Shanti.”

Sona Comstar, the company led by Sunjay, released an official statement on X mourning their Chairman. They described him as a “visionary leader” who played a pivotal role in globalizing Sona Comstar in the mobility technology sector. “His passion, foresight, and unwavering commitment to excellence inspired all who had the privilege of working with him,” the company stated.

In his final social media post just hours before his passing, Sunjay expressed condolences regarding a tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. He wrote, “Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour. #planecrash.”
