Renowned television star Karanvir Bohra has been cast as Mahipal, a formidable local thug, in the upcoming web series “Khandaan.” To fully embody this role, Karanvir made one of the most dramatic transformations of his career. Departing from his usual suave villain image, he embraced a raw and rugged aesthetic for “Khandaan.” Adorned in a lungi and heavy gold chains, he brought an intense and commanding presence to the character of Mahipal.

Reflecting on this striking transformation, Karanvir shared, “Mahipal is a character like no other I’ve portrayed—he’s loud, fierce, unpredictable, and exudes power. He establishes his dominance not just through actions but through his entire persona. From his outfit and gold accessories to his bold attitude, it’s a significant shift from my previous roles. Preparing physically for this role was a rigorous process that required a lot of training and dedication.”

Discussing his experience on set, Karanvir noted that maintaining his character throughout the day was quite exhausting. “Filming ‘Khandaan’ has been an exhilarating journey. Staying in character from morning until evening took a lot of energy, but I committed myself fully. I’ve pushed to deliver my best performance—now it’s in the audience’s hands.”

The series is touted as a captivating blend of suspense, action, and folklore, set in a village shrouded in mystery. It follows the story of the esteemed inspector Veer Pratap Singh as he uncovers deeply buried secrets, leading to a thrilling showdown with Mahipal.
