Kangana Ranaut and Chirag Paswan’s Viral Hug: Here’s What You Didn’t Know About Their Film Collaboration!

Published

on

A recent photo of Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan has taken social media by storm! The two were seen exchanging a warm hug outside the Parliament in Delhi, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.

Though the moment appeared to be a casual greeting between two Members of Parliament, it quickly raised questions about their connection.

Here’s a fun throwback: they actually starred in a movie together!

**Chirag Paswan’s Bollywood Journey**
Before diving into politics, Chirag Paswan ventured into Bollywood. In 2011, he made his acting debut in a romantic drama called *Miley Naa Miley Hum*, directed by Tanveer Khan. The leading lady? None other than Kangana Ranaut!

The film, released on November 4, 2011, featured a prominent cast, including Sagarika Ghatge, Kabir Bedi, Poonam Dhillon, and Dalip Tahil. Despite the initial buzz surrounding Chirag’s debut, the film turned out to be a box office flop and faded into obscurity. Chirag portrayed the character Chirag Mehra, while Kangana played Anishka Srivastava. Although it included the classic elements of a Bollywood masala film—romance, drama, and even a special dance number by Shweta Tiwari—it failed to resonate with audiences.

**From the Silver Screen to Politics**
After the movie’s dismal performance, Chirag shifted his focus to politics, following in the footsteps of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan. In 2014, he contested and won the Lok Sabha elections from Jamui, Bihar, marking his official entry into the political arena. Meanwhile, Kangana continued her successful Bollywood career, delivering numerous hits along with sparking controversies. Fast forward to 2024, she took the plunge into politics herself and secured a victory in the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh during the General Elections.

**Kangana’s Words on Chirag**
In an earlier interview, Kangana shared her thoughts on her friendship with Chirag, saying, “Chirag aur main bohot pehle se dost hain. Bechare ne ek do baar hansa diya mujhe, par log peeche pad gaye. Ab toh woh bhi rasta badal kar chala jaata hai!” (Chirag and I have been friends for a long time. He made me laugh a few times, but people just won’t let it go. Now even he changes his path when he sees me!) This playful comment now adds an even funnier layer to their viral hug captured at Parliament!

**Reactions from Fans**
Once the picture made its way online, fans had a field day with it. Some joked about a potential sequel to *Miley Naa Miley Hum*, while others appreciated the bond between the two, despite their vastly different career trajectories.
