Kajol Shares Her Affection for Kolkata
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Kajol expressed her fondness for the city.
Kajol stated, “I love the food, and the rhythm of the city—there’s a certain ease. Mumbai doesn’t have that vibe at all. The moment you step into Mumbai, your pulse quickens. Kolkata, on the other hand, has a more relaxed atmosphere, both in its people and its traffic.”
Besides the city’s slower pace, Kajol has a deep appreciation for the residents of Kolkata. “They are truly wonderful people,” she remarked.
Kajol also praised her husband, Ajay Devgn, for his involved approach as a producer of “Maa,” which he supports through his production company, Devgn Films. She described him as an exceptional producer: “He is really hands-on. From scripting to VFX to music, he’s engaged in every aspect, ensuring everything works, even down to marketing. He really is a fantastic producer.”
Directed by Vishal Furia, “Maa” features a talented cast including Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Surjyasikha Das, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, Roopkatha Chakraborty, and Kherin Sharma in major roles.
Produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Subbarayan, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the film is set to hit theaters on June 27. Kajol’s upcoming projects also include Kayoze Irani’s “Sarzameen” and Charan Tej Uppalapati’s “Maharagni – Queen of Queens.”
