Dubai: The United Arab Emirates has ordered the arrest of 35 people, including 19 Indians, for sharing misleading and fabricated videos on social media during the ongoing Middle East conflict.

Authorities said the accused posted manipulated and AI-generated clips showing fake explosions, missile attacks, and damage in the UAE. Some also shared real footage with misleading commentary that created public panic.

According to the UAE’s official news agency WAM, investigators found the suspects were divided into three groups. They shared real missile footage with false narration, posted AI-generated fake attack videos, and circulated content praising Iran’s military actions.

UAE Attorney-General Dr Hamad Saif Al Shams said strict action was taken to stop misinformation that could harm national security and public order.

Under UAE law, spreading false information can lead to at least one year in prison and a fine of 100,000 UAE dirhams.

Nepal: A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of seven Indian pilgrims in Nepal. The incident occurred when a private microbus lost control and fell into a deep gorge.

The pilgrims were returning after offering prayers at the famous Manakamana Temple in Nepal. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into the gorge.

Seven people died in the accident. The victims have been identified as 58-year-old Muthu Kumar, 58-year-old Anamalik, 59-year-old Meenakshi, 53-year-old Shivagami, 57-year-old Vijayal, 58-year-old Meena, and 60-year-old Tamil Arasi.

Seven other passengers were injured in the accident. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities reached the spot and started rescue operations soon after the accident. Police have started an investigation to find out the exact cause of the crash.

World: An Indian man living in Dubai has appealed for help after his wife’s hospital bill crossed Rs 1.25 crore. The family is struggling to manage the rising medical costs during the ongoing regional conflict.

Thilakkumar Jalathu Aniruthraraj and his wife Shaamini Ramesh moved to Dubai from Tamil Nadu eight years ago. Thilakkumar’s wife had come to Dubai to visit them when she suddenly developed a severe bacterial infection.

She has been in the ICU for the past 40 days and is on ventilator support. Doctors say she may need the ventilator for at least two more months.

The hospital charges around Rs 3 lakh per day. With scans and treatment, the bill is increasing by nearly Rs 4 lakh daily.

The family planned to bring her back to India for cheaper treatment. Doctors had approved travel on a medical escort flight that cost around Rs 7 lakh. However, the flight was cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the region.

Now their only option is a private air ambulance. The cost has risen to about Rs 50 lakh because of the crisis.

Thilakkumar said they cannot afford such a huge amount. The couple is now seeking help from charities and the public to bring his wife back to India for treatment.
