Indian Army Clarifies: Ceasefire on LoC Remains Intact Amid Cross-Border Firing Reports

Published

on

In light of recent reports regarding cross-border firing between Indian and Pakistani security forces in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, the Indian Army has confirmed that the ceasefire between the two nations remains in effect.
The Army stated, “The ceasefire along the Line of Control is being upheld in accordance with the agreement between both armies (of India and Pakistan). Any unrest stemming from occasional incidents of cross-LoC firing and a suspected IED explosion at one of our posts is being managed through the established protocols.”

Addressing the specifics of Wednesday’s events, the Army clarified that there had been no exchange of heavy-calibre fire.

“Minor incidents are not unusual along the Line of Control. Concerns have been communicated to the Pakistan Army through the appropriate channels. The situation is stable and is under careful observation. The Indian Army is maintaining a high level of readiness and holds an advantageous position along the Line of Control,” they added.
This clarification follows claims from defense sources indicating that the Pakistan Army incurred significant casualties late Wednesday night after the Indian Army responded to a ceasefire breach in the Krishna Ghati sector.
In response to the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Pakistan Army, a heightened alert has been issued along the Line of Control, the International Border, and within the Jammu hinterland. Multiple firing incidents have occurred in the Rajouri, Poonch, and Jammu districts along the LoC to deter infiltration attempts into J&K.
Sources reported that at least five Pakistani soldiers were killed due to retaliatory fire from the Indian Army in the Tarkundi area of the Krishna Ghati sector.

In a striking display of patriotism and unity, the Chhattisgarh government organized an extraordinary Tiranga Yatra on Saturday, reaching every town, village, and panchayat across the state. Under the theme “Citizens for National Security,” the event united people from diverse backgrounds in a heartfelt tribute to the armed forces and a reaffirmation of national solidarity.

Participants, including schoolchildren, community leaders, elected officials, and everyday citizens, proudly marched with the tricolor aloft, chanting slogans like “We Stand with Our Forces” and “Nation with Operation Sindoor.”

The flagship rally took place in Charai Dand village in Jashpur district, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, alongside MLA Raimuni Bhagat, Municipal Council President Arvind Bhagat, District Panchayat President Salik Sai, and Commissioner Narendra Kumar Dugga.

Simultaneous rallies were held across all 33 districts, reaching every gram panchayat and urban local body. The response was tremendous, featuring large participation from students, NCC cadets, veterans, public officials, and community members. The unified message resonated clearly: Chhattisgarh stands steadfastly with the brave soldiers protecting the nation.

On Saturday, Congress organized protests throughout Madhya Pradesh in response to controversial remarks made by State Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah and Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda regarding Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and the Indian Army. The situation escalated when BJP Lok Sabha Member Faggan Singh Kulaste inadvertently referred to terrorists as “our terrorists” during a statement in Dindori district, further fueling the controversy.

In Indore, Congress activists symbolically depicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Dhritrashtra’ from the Mahabharata by blindfolding a photo of him and placing a lock and chain over his mouth, illustrating their disapproval of his silence on the statements made by the BJP leaders.

In Ratlam, Women Congress members adorned a photo of Vijay Shah with bangles, signifying cowardice. Effigies were burned, and the photos of the three BJP leaders were blackened in various cities, towns, and rural areas across Madhya Pradesh.

A meeting of ex-servicemen was held at the state Congress headquarters in Bhopal, where retired Major Shyamsundar expressed that the BJP leaders’ remarks had saddened even former soldiers. He warned that if no stringent action is taken against the leaders, the government will be held accountable. He announced that ex-servicemen nationwide would join protests if the issue remains unaddressed.

Protests in Ujjain and Mandsaur also saw clashes between Congress workers and police.

Jawan at the Indo-Pak Border Appeals to Protect His Land from Encroachers

Published

Sure! Here’s a rewritten version of the content:

An Indian Army soldier stationed at the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir has shared a video on social media, accusing the family of a village revenue officer (VRO) of illegally taking over his ancestral land in Siddipet district, Telangana. He has called for viewers to spread the video to reach Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, claiming that higher authorities have remained inactive due to the VRO’s influence. Following the video’s widespread circulation, BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao urged the district collector, M. Manu Chowdary, to take immediate action.

In his video, Army jawan B. Rama Swamy alleges that while he was away serving the nation, individuals encroached upon his 1.16 acres of agricultural land located in Chowdarpally, under the Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal. He accuses VRO Ramesh’s family of orchestrating this land grab during the previous administration. This situation echoes the story of Paan Singh Tomar, an army veteran who turned into a rebel to protect his agricultural land from encroachers.

The jawan has reported that his family has faced harassment from the encroachers, who are related to the VRO. They allegedly manipulated land records to remove the jawan’s family members and altered ownership details. Despite approaching the mandal revenue officer and the revenue divisional officer over the past six years, the family has been unsuccessful in securing justice due to the VRO’s powerful connections. After the video gained traction, people called for accountability, prompting MLA T. Harish Rao to publicly request thorough investigation and corrective measures, stating, “It’s shocking that a soldier, who protects our borders, has to endure such a situation.”
