IAF Seeks to Transform Future Defense Landscape through Innovation at Aero India 2025

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is hosting a seminar titled “Navachar Utkrishtam Bhavisyam” (innovation is the path to a better future) at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru on Tuesday, as part of the 15th edition of Aero India. This event aims to underscore the vital role of innovation in the defense sector and will be graced by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with the Chief of the Air Staff and other senior officials from the defense community.According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, a key feature of the seminar will be the introduction of various initiatives designed to propel the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision forward. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh is set to launch the IAF Compendium (Samarthya Margdarshika), an extensive publication detailing the current and future challenges and opportunities for Indian industries, MSMEs, start-ups, and individual innovators in the aerospace and defense fields.

The event will also announce the winners of the Mehar Baba-II (MBC-II) Competition, which was initiated in 2022 to motivate Indian industries to investigate and develop solutions in swarm drone technology. This competition has effectively engaged the Indian industrial sector in addressing real-world challenges, showcasing its potential. Additionally, the seminar will see the launch of the Mehar Baba-III (MBC-III) Competition, aimed at developing Collaborative Drone-Based Surveillance Radars, intended as a domestic alternative to the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS).

To enhance India’s digital capabilities in the defense realm, the IAF will unveil the VAYU VITT digital portal, a platform designed to streamline ordering, certification, and payment processes between the IAF and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Furthermore, a panel discussion on “Manned Unmanned Teaming – From Concept to Targeting” will take place, featuring distinguished experts from the aerospace sector. This discussion will delve into the potential of integrating manned and unmanned systems in contemporary warfare, emphasizing how Indian industry can contribute to the development of indigenous solutions to meet the country’s evolving defense requirements.

Two Workers Die After Electric Shock in Telangana

Telangana: Two workers died after suffering an electric shock while carrying an iron stand in Telangana. The incident happened near an Indian Oil petrol bunk in Mancherial district.

The deceased have been identified as Salla Lakshminarayana and Chandnagari Nagaraju from Velganur village.

According to reports, three labourers were carrying a tall iron stand near the petrol bunk. During this time, the iron stand accidentally touched an overhead electric wire.

Electricity passed through the iron stand and caused a severe shock. Lakshminarayana and Nagaraju suffered serious burns and died on the spot.

The third person who was with them escaped without any injuries.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

22-Year-Old Woman Killed After Truck Runs Over Her in Jaipur

Jaipur: A 22-year-old woman died after a truck ran over her in Jaipur, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Liga Jimo, a native of Nagaland. She had been living in a rented house in Malviya Nagar for the past two years. She was working at a beauty parlour in the area.

The incident took place on Monday night. Liga Jimo was travelling to Malviya Nagar on a bike taxi.

According to police, the bike lost control near Gopalpura Pulia. As a result, the woman fell onto the road.

At the same time, a truck carrying gas cylinders came from behind and ran over her. She died on the spot due to the impact.

Police shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway

Husband Revives Wife After Doctors Declare Her Dead

Mangaluru: A woman who was declared dead by doctors survived after her husband performed CPR for 35 minutes. The inspiring story of Komal Jamwal was shared on the Instagram page of Humans of Bombay and has gone viral.

The incident happened in March 2012 when Komal was 33 years old. She suddenly developed severe leg weakness and collapsed. Doctors at a hospital in Jammu later diagnosed her with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare condition that affects the nerves.

During treatment, she suffered repeated cardiac arrests and doctors declared her dead. However, her husband refused to give up and performed CPR for 35 minutes until her heart started beating again.

She was later treated in Ludhiana and slowly recovered. Now 14 years later, the 47-year-old woman can walk again and says she is grateful to her husband and family for saving her life.
