The YRF Spy Universe originated in 2012 with ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Its success paved the way for two sequels: ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ in 2017 and ‘Tiger 3’ in 2023. In 2019, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War’ was released, and the universe expanded further with ‘Pathaan’ in 2023, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Looking ahead, YRF is set to introduce ‘Alpha’, the first female-led spy film in the franchise starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, which is scheduled for release on December 25, 2025. Additionally, a sequel to ‘Pathaan’ is in production, along with a film titled ‘Tiger vs Pathaan.’
