Set against the backdrop of an extravagant cruise ship, ‘Housefull 5’ centers on a comedic murder mystery following the demise of a billionaire named J.D. (portrayed by Ranjeet), whose fortune is destined for someone named “Jolly.” The twist? There are three potential Jollys—played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan—all ensnared in the web of suspicion.
Added to this humorous mix are their eclectic girlfriends, quirky relatives, and a host of kooky side characters, creating a quintessential Housefull-style extravaganza.
What’s particularly clever is that in Version A, one of the Jollys is revealed as the murderer, while in Version B, the culprit is a completely different character. The setup may be identical, but the punchline varies.
