Udupi: The ‘Orra Sparkle Week Bridal Trunk Show’ was held with great enthusiasm at the Udupi showroom of Orra Fine Jewellery. The special event was organised to add a new sparkle to bridal jewellery collections.

The showcase featured a stunning range of new diamond jewellery designs. The collection beautifully blended traditional elegance with modern styles, making it ideal for weddings and other special occasions.

A special ramp show featuring children of Orra Fine Jewellery customers was one of the major highlights of the event. The young participants walked the ramp wearing and showcasing the latest diamond jewellery designs.

The signature necklace of the Orra Sparkle Week Bridal Trunk Show was unveiled by Kumari Sachita Rao, Udupi’s youngest international award-winning model. She also shared her thoughts with Namma Kudla.

Sachita Rao said modelling is not just about looks and appearance. She stressed that self-confidence is more important and thanked Orra Fine Jewellery for giving her the opportunity to be part of the event.

Engineering student Shraddha Shetty also expressed her happiness over getting an opportunity to participate in the ramp walk organised by Orra Fine Jewellery.

The exclusive jewellery collection added elegance and glamour to the bridal celebrations. The event was attended by the management and staff of Orra Fine Jewellery.

Udupi: A fish-loaded lorry overturned at the Katapady underpass in Udupi on Friday.

The lorry was travelling from Udupi towards Mangaluru. The accident occurred near an ongoing construction site.

The driver reportedly failed to notice the warning signs placed near the work area. Instead of taking the alternative road, the lorry entered the construction zone directly.

The vehicle then lost control and overturned at the spot. Further details about the incident are awaited.

Udupi: Udupi City Police have arrested two persons for allegedly trying to mislead a court by using a fake Aadhaar card to help an accused get bail.

The arrested persons have been identified as 32-year-old Umar Farooq from Bantwal and 24-year-old Nishanth Kumar from Mangaluru. They were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

According to the police, Farooq allegedly created a fake Aadhaar card to help an accused named Noman obtain bail. He reportedly used the Aadhaar card number belonging to a person named Prashanth and entered the name and address of K.T. Mohammed on it.

Farooq allegedly appeared as a different person and submitted the fake Aadhaar card before the court. The act was intended to mislead the court and also amounted to misuse of the identity details of the genuine Aadhaar card holder.

Police said Nishanth Kumar helped create the fake Aadhaar card using a computer.

The case came to light after Abbas, Administrative Officer of the Udupi District and Sessions Court, filed a complaint. Based on the complaint, Udupi City Police registered a case and began an investigation.

Under the guidance of Police Inspector Mahesh Prasad P., a special team was formed under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Ratnakar K. The team conducted an operation and arrested both suspects.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
