Haryana CM Claims Delhi Residents Support Prime Minister Modi’s Assurance
Haryana’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, stated on Sunday that the citizens of Delhi have confirmed their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurances in the recent Assembly elections.
“With this victory, Modi Ji’s policies will now be enacted in Delhi, allowing residents to benefit from welfare programs like the Ayushman Yojana and ensuring access to clean drinking water,” he remarked during a press conference at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Sunday.
The Chief Minister emphasized that this significant triumph positions Delhi on a path toward a developed India. He congratulated the people of Delhi for the BJP’s overwhelming success in the elections.
In response to a query, the Chief Minister joked that while Kejriwal enjoyed all the benefits, others were left with nothing.
Saini remarked that the people of Delhi had once placed their trust in Arvind Kejriwal, who emerged from Anna Hazare’s movement, believing he was a leader of integrity. However, he claimed that Kejriwal’s tenure was marked by deception.
The Chief Minister asserted that Delhi’s residents have now liberated themselves from a leader who misled them with untruths.
He criticized Kejriwal for making false promises and creating an illusion of progress without delivering results for the people.
Saini pointed out that Kejriwal had repeatedly vowed to cleanse the Yamuna River by 2025, but when he failed to fulfill this commitment, he resorted to blaming Haryana, alleging pollution.
“The citizens of Delhi decisively voted him out due to his deceitful promises,” Saini remarked, expressing confidence that the people of Punjab would soon do the same to the Aam Aadmi Party.
The Chief Minister recalled that Kejriwal had claimed he would transform Delhi’s infrastructure to resemble Paris, yet his visits during the campaign only revealed congested streets and deteriorating roads, with no focus on the Yamuna River.
Saini stated that Kejriwal had pledged to support poor children in becoming doctors and engineers, but instead prioritized establishing liquor stores in the city.
He assured that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Delhi would rejoin the race for development, emphasizing that “if Modi guarantees it, he will deliver.”
The Chief Minister expressed that Delhi is set to advance alongside a Viksit Bharat, with plans to beautify the Yamuna Riverfront, making it a favored destination over Kartavya Path and India Gate.
He assured that Prime Minister Modi has committed to cleaning and enhancing the Yamuna River, and a comprehensive plan will be executed swiftly to address pollution issues.
Saini mentioned that to achieve these goals, metro services would be expanded, electric vehicles promoted, and various other initiatives swiftly implemented to bolster Delhi’s infrastructure and environmental quality.
The Chief Minister reminisced about his campaign in Delhi, where he enjoyed jalebis with residents. He expressed that just as in Haryana and Maharashtra, the BJP would establish governance in Delhi, leading to celebratory jalebi distributions.
He thanked the people of Delhi for their unwavering support of the BJP and fulfilled his earlier promise by personally distributing various types of jalebis to the residents.
Alongside the well-known Gohana jalebis, he offered smaller jalebis and imarti for everyone to enjoy.
The Chief Minister concluded by noting that while the citizens of Delhi have removed the Aam Aadmi Party from power for its dishonesty, the Congress has experienced a third consecutive defeat, marking a hat-trick of losses.
He claimed that the INDIA alliance has no future, and with the recent Delhi elections, their political ventures have been permanently shut down.
