Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been convicted of criminal sexual assault against former ‘Project Runway’ assistant Miriam Haley in his retrial in Manhattan. However, the jury exonerated him of one charge and was deadlocked on another.

The weeks-long retrial concluded with a divided verdict, resulting in Weinstein’s conviction for the assault on Haley, while he was found not guilty of charges involving Kaja Sokola. The jury could not reach a unanimous decision on the third charge concerning Jessica Mann.

Weinstein’s prior convictions from 2020, which included guilty verdicts for assaults against both Haley and Mann, were overturned in April 2024, prompting the retrial where both women recounted their experiences once more. Haley testified that Weinstein assaulted her in his Manhattan apartment in 2006, while Mann described being raped by him in a hotel in 2013.

Kaja Sokola, who was identified publicly for the first time during this retrial, alleged that Weinstein assaulted her twice: once in 2002 when she was just 16, and again in 2006 at a Manhattan hotel. Ultimately, however, the jury acquitted Weinstein of the charges associated with her case.
