The highly anticipated nostalgic drama ‘Way Back Love,’ featuring Gong Myung from ‘Be Melodramatic’ and Kim Min Ha from ‘Pachinko,’ has officially announced its premiere date. This heartfelt story follows two high school sweethearts who encounter each other again years later in an unexpected manner.

‘Way Back Love’ is a fantasy romance that centers around Kim Min Ha’s character, Hee Wan, a 24-year-old woman who has retreated from the world after losing her zest for life. Once vibrant and full of energy, she now finds herself detached and devoid of hope. In a surprising twist just one week before she plans to end her life, her childhood friend and first love, Ram Woo (played by Gong Myung), arrives at her door as a grim reaper. The shock of seeing someone she thought was long gone leads to a profound change in their lives.

In anticipation of the series debut, the production team released a warm, nostalgic poster showcasing the young actors as high school students exuding enthusiasm and life. Their radiant smiles light up the image, as they appear to be playfully exchanging their name tags, hinting at either a whimsical identity swap or a deeper romantic connection. The tagline reads, “Our unbelievable story that began with an April Fool’s joke.”

The teaser opens with Kim Ram Woo excitedly sharing his newfound passion with Jung Hui Wan, as they make the most of their school days. Their joyful moments soon take a darker turn, transitioning to a scene of 24-year-old Jung Hui Wan, who has lost her will to live. Just as she nears the end of her journey, Ram Woo reappears at her doorstep, calling her name just like in their school days. He tenderly asks, “Didn’t you miss me all this time?” before the clip concludes.

TVING’s ‘Way Back Love’ will make its premiere on April 3.
