Former Virginia Lt. Governor Shoots Wife Dead, Dies by Suicide
Washington: A tragic incident has been reported in the U.S. state of Virginia, where former Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax allegedly shot his wife and then died by suicide.
According to officials, the bodies of Fairfax (47) and his wife, Dr. Cerina Fairfax (49), were found inside their home. Kevin Davis confirmed the details of the case.
Police said that Justin Fairfax shot his wife in the basement of their house. After that, he went upstairs to a bedroom and died by suicide.
Sources close to the family said that the couple had been facing issues related to divorce. Dr. Cerina Fairfax had filed for divorce last year. This reportedly left Fairfax deeply distressed.

Justin Fairfax was once considered a rising leader in the Democratic Party. He was elected as the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2017. However, his political career was affected by serious allegations of sexual assault made by two women in 2019.

Iran Congratulates Karoline Leavitt, Mentions Minab Strike
Iran congratulated Karoline Leavitt on the birth of her daughter, Viviana. However, Iran also reminded her about the deadly strike on a school in Minab on February 28.
Leavitt announced the birth of her baby on X. She shared that her daughter was healthy and that her family was very happy.

Egyptian Blogger Surrenders after Allegedly Faking Cancer to Collect Donations
Egyptian: An Egyptian blogger has surrendered to police after allegedly collecting millions of pounds through fake cancer treatment appeals on social media.
According to reports, blogger Donia Fouad from Ismailia raised nearly four million Egyptian pounds by claiming she was suffering from cancer and needed money for medical treatment. Thousands of followers reportedly donated after seeing her emotional online posts.
Authorities later conducted medical examinations and confirmed that Fouad did not have cancer. Police had earlier detained her husband for questioning during the investigation into the fundraising campaign.
Soon after the investigation intensified, Fouad surrendered to the police. In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, she admitted that she had lied about being ill.
Fouad claimed she was struggling with mental health issues and said she needed psychological treatment. She apologised to the public and admitted her actions were wrong.
She also revealed that she enjoyed the sympathy and attention she received while pretending to be sick. According to her statement, the care shown by her husband and followers gave her emotional comfort.

Fouad further admitted that several people had previously advised her to seek professional mental health support, but she ignored their suggestions.
