The excitement is palpable as the first look at ‘Bison’ has been released! Produced by Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios, this highly anticipated Tamil sports drama is directed by Mari Selvaraj.

Featuring Dhruv Vikram in an intense new role as a Kabaddi player, ‘Bison’ promises to tell an inspiring story of resilience, struggle, and triumph on the big screen.

Based on true events, ‘Bison’ transcends mere sports—it is an emotional voyage of determination in the face of adversity. Dhruv Vikram, known for his powerful performances, ventures into new territory as he portrays a dedicated athlete striving to make his mark in the sport.

Joining him is Anupama Parameswaran, whose performance adds significant depth to this vibrant narrative. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Kalaiyarasan, ensuring an engaging cinematic experience filled with robust performances.

Mari Selvaraj, acclaimed for his impactful films like ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan,’ is known for his gripping storytelling and social themes. ‘Bison’ is expected to follow suit, merging the intensity of sports with thought-provoking subject matter.

The official title was revealed in May 2024, with filming commencing that same month in Chennai and concluding by mid-February 2025. Every frame, from the rigorous training scenes to the raw emotions of the sport, aims to deliver a captivating viewing experience.

Adding to the anticipation, ‘Bison’ features music by Nivas K. Prasanna, who is collaborating with both Dhruv Vikram and Mari Selvaraj for the first time. With cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K and editing by Sakthi Thiru, viewers can expect a stunning visual and auditory feast. Netflix has already acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights.

‘Tulunada Mann’ Song from Kajja Celebrates the Spirit of Tulunadu

Manipal: The makers of the upcoming Tulu film Kajja have released the vibrant video song “Tulunada Mann,” offering a colourful tribute to the culture and heritage of Tulunadu.

The song is sung by music director Likit Prasad Shetty and Divyanidhi Rai, with lead actor Siddharth Shetty delivering energetic dance performances. Beautifully shot by cinematographer Chantu Meppayur, the video showcases iconic locations across Mangaluru, including Kudroli, along with traditional art forms such as Bharatanatyam and Tiger Dance.

Penned by Mohan Raj and composed by Likit Prasad Shetty, the track highlights the rich cultural identity of the coastal region.

Produced by Vishanth Menezes under the Sumukha Productions banner, Kajja is directed by Jishnu S. Menon and Siddharth Shetty. The film also features multilingual actor Vasishta N. Simha in a key role.

Following special premiere screenings across Coastal Karnataka, Kajja is set for a statewide theatrical release on June 11.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay retained the Perambur constituency after winning from two seats in the Assembly election and resigned from the Tiruchchi East seat.

Reports now suggest that popular actor, director, and choreographer Raghava Lawrence may contest the upcoming by-election from Tiruchchi East on behalf of Vijay’s TVK party. The news has been widely discussed on social media.

Raghava Lawrence is known for his charitable work and support for differently-abled people, orphaned children, and senior citizens. His strong public image is seen as an advantage if he enters the race.

Earlier, rumours claimed that actress Trisha Krishnan would contest from the constituency, but those reports were later dismissed.
