On a remarkable Wednesday night in Chennai, Grammy-winning sensation Ed Sheeran teamed up with the legendary composer AR Rahman for an exhilarating performance that captivated the audience.

The duo delivered a unique mash-up, fusing Sheeran’s worldwide hit ‘Shape of You’ with Rahman’s classic ‘Urvashi’. The infectious beat of ‘Shape of You’ beautifully combined with Rahman’s vocals, resulting in an extraordinary musical experience.

While Sheeran played his guitar, Rahman took center stage with the mic, showcasing their incredible talents in perfect synchrony.

The evening began with a special act by the renowned playback singer Jonita Gandhi, famous for hits like ‘Gilehriyaan’ and ‘Dil Ka Telephone’. An enthusiastic fan of Sheeran for years, Gandhi expressed her joy in opening for the star, saying, “I’ve covered some of Ed’s music in the past, and I truly admire his versatility,” she remarked before the concert.

She also expressed her excitement about finally sharing the stage with Sheeran, especially after missing his earlier performance in Mumbai due to a scheduling conflict.

This concert was part of Sheeran’s ‘+ – = ÷ x’ Tour, organized by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live. Last year, Sheeran had a memorable collaboration with Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh during a performance in Mumbai. The two artists were seen vibing together backstage, with Diljit posting a video on Instagram captioned “ONE LOVE.”

At that time, both Sheeran and Dosanjh sported casual attire; Sheeran was dressed in a white t-shirt and black shorts, perfect for the summer ambiance.

Film: Actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty has received another major honour for his contribution to Indian cinema.

He was presented with the prestigious ‘Leadership in Cinema’ award at the NAB IFFM Awards Night 2026.

The award recognises his contribution to Indian cinema. It also honours his efforts to take stories rooted in Indian culture to a global audience.

Rishab Shetty also won the Best Director award for Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 at the event.

His unique storytelling and direction have helped bring Kannada stories to audiences across the world.

Rishab Shetty is currently busy shooting for Jai Hanuman.

Through his films, he continues to showcase Indian culture, traditions and stories rooted in the land.

The two awards mark another proud milestone in his film career. They also celebrate his contribution to Indian cinema.

Sports: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, in a private ceremony.

Ronaldo reportedly tied the knot with Georgina on Tuesday, August 11. The couple surprised fans by sharing an official wedding photo on social media.

The picture shows Ronaldo and Georgina holding hands while wearing their wedding rings. The couple appeared happy as they marked the special occasion.

The wedding took place in Cascais, a picturesque coastal town near Portugal’s capital, Lisbon. The ceremony was kept extremely private, with only their five children reportedly attending the occasion.

Ronaldo and Georgina first met in Madrid in 2016. They have been together for nearly a decade.

The couple has five children: Cristiano Jr., twins Eva and Mateo, Alana Martina, and Bella Esmeralda.

Ronaldo is one of the most decorated footballers in the world. He has scored a record 146 goals for Portugal in international football and has won the prestigious Ballon d’Or award five times.

He recently represented Portugal at the FIFA World Cup, making it the sixth World Cup of his career. At club level, Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.

Rhea Chakraborty Talks about Beauty Pressure and Spending on Her Appearance

Mumbai: Actress Rhea Chakraborty has opened up about her early career and financial independence. She also spoke about spending her earnings on changing her appearance.

During a conversation with comedian Tanmay Bhat on his YouTube channel, Rhea recalled her days as an MTV VJ. She said she was earning around Rs.3 lakh as a VJ when she was just 17 or 18 years old.

Rhea said she felt very rich at that age. She revealed that she spent her last salary on “fixing” her face.

The actress made the revelation while comparing an old photograph with her recent appearance. Her statement left the other members of the panel amused.

Rhea also spoke about the pressure to look good in the entertainment industry. She said there was a time when only good-looking people were allowed to speak.

When Tanmay Bhat jokingly asked if he should also get his face “fixed”, Rhea said everyone should consider a facelift. She added that technology has advanced significantly.

Rhea began her career as a VJ before entering the film industry. She made her acting debut with the Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega in 2012. She later made her Bollywood debut with Mere Dad Ki Maruti in 2013.

Her personal life came under intense media attention after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. Rhea faced allegations and was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau during a drugs-related investigation.

In March 2025, the Central Bureau of Investigation closed the case. The agency concluded that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide and ruled out foul play.

Apart from acting, Rhea has also entered the business world. She runs her brand Chapter 2 with her brother Showik Chakraborty.

Rhea will next be seen in the second season of The Traitors.
