Employees or Robots? Young Woman Rejects Job offer

New Delhi: A young woman has gone viral on social media after rejecting a work-from-home job offer because of the company’s strict monitoring rules. The woman, identified as Gurleen, shared her experience in a video that sparked a major online debate.

According to Gurleen, the company had placed two major conditions during the interview process. Employees were required to keep their webcam switched on throughout working hours. The

company’s software would also take screenshots of the computer screen every 10 minutes to track employee productivity.

Gurleen said she was shocked after hearing the rules. She described the policy as “harassment” rather than a normal work environment.

She said work-from-home jobs should provide flexibility and freedom to employees. She also said constant monitoring and regular screenshots make employees feel like robots instead of human beings.
