Disha Salian Case Reopened: Father Pursues FIR Against Prominent Figures

Nearly five years after the heartbreaking loss of celebrity manager Disha Salian, her father, Satish Salian, has turned to the Bombay High Court, seeking a new investigation. He claims he was initially led to believe that his daughter’s death was a suicide.

Satish Salian has officially requested the Mumbai Police Commissioner to file an FIR against several individuals, including politician Aaditya Thackeray, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, ex-police officer Sachin Vaze, and actor Sooraj Pancholi.

His attorney, Nilesh Ojha, confirmed that the Joint Commissioner of Police has accepted the complaint, which includes serious allegations of gang rape and murder.

In an interview with ANI, Satish Salian shared that former Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had visited him shortly after Disha’s death. “She told me that the media was spreading false narratives about my daughter. She assured me they were working to stop the misinformation. I was persistently told it was a suicide, and the police even presented call records and location data to back their claim. At that time, I had no reason to doubt them,” he explained.

However, he now believes significant information was withheld from him and insists that the case requires a more thorough investigation.

Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, reportedly after falling from the 14th floor of a building in Mumbai. Just six days later, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, with whom she had briefly worked, was found deceased in his Bandra apartment. The two high-profile deaths sparked extensive speculation, conspiracy theories, and calls for a comprehensive investigation.

This recent development follows reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, determining that there was no foul play. Nonetheless, the push for a renewed inquiry into Disha Salian’s death indicates that many questions still remain unanswered.
