Anand L. Rai’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ will mark the first collaboration between Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. Dhanush and Rai have previously worked together on projects like ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Atrangi Re,’ while this upcoming film will be Kriti’s debut with the director.
In a recent discussion, Rai explained the film’s connection to ‘Raanjhanaa.’ He stated, “It is inspired by the world of Raanjhanaa, but it is not a sequel. When I refer to the world of Raanjhanaa, I mean that I am revisiting the emotions depicted in that film.” He added, “Both films are tragedies that encompass themes of anger and rage. Love stories are multifaceted; they aren’t just about a simple man-woman dynamic. That’s why I say it draws from the world of Raanjhanaa, as it includes similar elements, but the stories themselves are distinct.”
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also took to social media to reveal the film’s release date, announcing: “Dhanush-Kriti Sanon-Anand L Rai-Bhushan Kumar-AR Rahman come together for ‘Tere Ishk Mein,’ set to release on 28 NOV 2025. The creative team behind Raanjhanaa, including Aanand L Rai, AR Rahman, and Himanshu Sharma, collaborates with producer Bhushan Kumar for this project.”
