Dhanashree Verma Breaks Her Silence: Responds to Divorce Rumors with Yuzvendra Chahal for the First Time!
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma, has finally addressed the rumors surrounding their alleged divorce. She took to her Instagram Stories to share a message with everyone, calling the speculations baseless and far from the truth. Expressing her anguish, she revealed that the past few days have been extremely challenging for her and her family. Responding to the rumors about her divorce from Chahal, Dhanashree stated that false narratives are tarnishing her character. She emphasized that the truth will prevail and refused to provide any justification.
What Did Dhanashree Say in Her Post?
Her post reads:
“The past few days have been incredibly tough for me and my family. What is truly disheartening is the baseless writings, lack of fact-checking, and spreading of hate that have led to my character assassination. I have worked for years to build a good reputation in society. My silence is not a sign of weakness. Negativity spreads easily online, but it takes courage and compassion to lift others up. I want to focus on the truth and move forward while holding onto my values. Truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaya.”
What Sparked the Divorce Rumors?
Speculations about a rift in the marriage between India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-reality show star Dhanashree Verma began circulating recently. The couple, who tied the knot on December 22, 2020, is rumored to be heading for a divorce. Fans observed that Chahal and Dhanashree had unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Chahal had deleted all pictures of Dhanashree from his Instagram account.
Did a Photo Lead to the Rift?
A few months ago, Dhanashree Verma had shared some photos with her friend and choreographer Pratik Utekar. The pictures showed them in a close and friendly pose, sparking speculation about a potential relationship between the two. Addressing these rumors, Pratik also expressed his frustration, saying, “The world is free to create stories and comment on them. But jumping to conclusions based on just one photo and directly messaging me is inappropriate. Please grow some maturity.”

Blue Line Metro Opening Likely to Be Delayed to 2027
Mangluru: The much-awaited Namma Metro Blue Line project is likely to face another delay.
The Blue Line will connect Silk Board with KR Puram and link the busy Outer Ring Road (ORR) with the city’s major IT corridors.
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) had earlier planned to start commercial operations by the end of 2026.
However, the opening may now be pushed to early or mid-2027. Several civil and system works are still pending.
The Byappanahalli depot work is one of the major concerns. The depot is important for the operation and maintenance of metro trains.
The work to connect the Blue Line with the depot is yet to be completed.
Construction of metro viaducts is also pending at Marathahalli and the Central Silk Board junctions.
The project has also faced technical challenges at Iblur. These include the presence of a high-pressure GAIL gas pipeline and a Cauvery water supply pipeline.
Land acquisition issues have also affected the construction of the station.
Work at Silk Board has also been delayed. BMRCL received permission for pillar construction from traffic police and civic agencies only after some delay.
BMRCL is trying to begin trial runs between KR Puram and HSR Layout by October 2026.
However, officials have indicated that commercial operations on the Blue Line will not be possible in 2026.
The delay has raised concerns about traffic congestion on the ORR.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is planning to begin white-topping work on the ORR from October 2026. The project is estimated to cost around Rs.450 crore.
If the road work begins before the Blue Line becomes operational, traffic problems could increase on the busy IT corridor.
Around 8 to 10 lakh employees and other commuters use this corridor every day.

In view of the expected traffic disruption, Minister Krishna Byre Gowda has asked officials to discuss the possibility of allowing companies to provide up to 50 per cent work-from-home facilities for their employees.
The Blue Line is expected to provide major relief to commuters once it becomes fully operational.
