Bengaluru: A double murder case in Bengaluru has taken a shocking turn. Police have arrested a woman for allegedly killing her husband and young son with the help of her lover.

The accused woman has been identified as Harini. Police said she allegedly switched off the CCTV cameras at her house before calling her lover Vinay home.

According to the investigation, Vinay attacked Harini’s husband Abhinandan with a ladle while he was sleeping. The attack reportedly killed him.

The accused allegedly killed the child, Yaduveer, as they feared he could reveal the crime later.

After the murders, Harini allegedly washed the blood stains in the house. She also washed the clothes during the night in an attempt to destroy evidence.

Police said she later tried to create a false story. She allegedly tried to make it look as if her husband had killed their son and then died.

Harini reportedly confessed to the crime during police questioning. Police are now conducting an intensive search for her alleged lover Vinay.

Tumakuru: A 10-year-old student died after a pillar collapsed on him while he was playing in the school premises. The incident took place in Belagihalli village of Chikkanayakanahalli taluk in Tumakuru district.

The deceased has been identified as Dhanush, son of Anand Murthy of Mattighatta village. He was studying in Class 4 at the Government Primary School in Belagihalli.

Dhanush had come to school as usual on Tuesday morning. He was playing with his friends before the classes began.

At around 9:30 am, a pillar of a Nandini milk dairy building located next to the school suddenly collapsed. The pillar fell directly on Dhanush.

He suffered severe injuries to his head and died on the spot.

On receiving information, Handanakeri police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.

Local residents have alleged that poor-quality construction work may have caused the pillar to collapse.

Bantwal: Punjalakatte police have cracked a robbery case involving an 82-year-old woman and arrested her own grandson.

The accused has been identified as 33-year-old Shabir from Tenkakajekaru in Bantwal taluk.

The incident took place on August 14 at Uddada Gudde in Tenkakajekaru. The elderly woman, Avvamma, was alone at home when a masked man entered the house.

The accused covered his face with a cloth and forcibly removed two gold bangles from her hands. The bangles weighed around 40 grams and were worth approximately Rs. 5 lakh.

Avvamma suffered injuries to her hand when the bangles were forcibly removed.

Based on her complaint, Punjalakatte police registered a case and began an investigation.

During the investigation, police found that Avvamma’s grandson Shabir was allegedly involved in the robbery.

Police arrested Shabir and recovered both gold bangles from him.

Further investigation is underway.
