Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Sets Global Release Date

Attention, ‘Demon Slayer’ fans! The creators have revealed the release date for the first installment of the ‘Infinity Castle’ arc trilogy. The film will continue right from the thrilling cliffhanger of season 4 and is set to premiere in Indian theatres on September 12, 2025. Fans will also have the chance to watch it in IMAX.

Crunchyroll announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a captivating teaser. They stated, “Experience the monumental beginning to an epic finale! See Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, in Hindi, English, and Japanese Dub, exclusively in cinemas on September 12th!”

In Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, the ‘Infinity Castle’ arc centers around Tanjiro and the seven Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps as they engage in a fierce confrontation with the Demon King Muzan in his stronghold. This segment of the story is packed with intense battles against the Upper-Rank demons, the most powerful adversaries.

The latest series installment and films explored the Hashira Training Arc, where Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu rise to join the elite demon slayers, the Hashira, in their mission to confront Muzan and bring back peace. This arc follows the events of the Swordsmith Village storyline, while the training narrative is featured in the compilation film ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: To the Hashira Training,’ which was released in theatres in February 2024. The subsequent fourth season aired from May to June 2024, concluding with the Hashira facing Muzan and being transported to his Infinity Castle, wrapped up by Tanjiro’s pledge to defeat him.

Set in Taisho-era Japan, ‘Demon Slayer’ follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, who returns home to discover his family massacred by demons, with his sister Nezuko transformed into one of them. Driven by the desire to avenge his family and restore his sister’s humanity, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps. Through intense training, he becomes a skilled swordsman, committed to protecting humanity from demonic threats.

Originally serialized by Koyoharu Gotouge, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ quickly garnered a massive following. It received its anime adaptation in 2019, followed by the blockbuster sequel film ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie: Mugen Train,’ released in October 2020, which broke records to become the highest-grossing anime and Japanese film. Following this success, additional seasons and compilation films were produced. The upcoming trilogy will continue the thrilling saga from the events of the fourth season.
