Defence Minister Inaugurates India, iDEX, and Karnataka Pavilions at Aero India 2025

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh officially unveiled the India Pavilion, iDEX Pavilion, and Karnataka Pavilion at Aero India 2025, marking a significant advancement in India’s journey toward self-reliance in the defence and aerospace sectors. The event took place at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru and showcased India’s progress in innovation, design, and manufacturing within the defence ecosystem.

The India Pavilion featured a vibrant exhibition of the nation’s defence capabilities, highlighting cutting-edge products and technologies from the domestic defence industry.

Following the inauguration, the defence minister engaged with representatives from various companies and explored their innovative offerings. The pavilion presented over 275 exhibits from Defence Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), design firms, private sector companies, MSMEs, and start-ups, showcasing the comprehensive defence ecosystem. Key highlights included advanced platforms such as the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft, Combat Air Teaming System, and Twin-Engine Deck-Based Fighter.

The iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) Pavilion also garnered considerable attention, with top innovators displaying indigenous products from various advanced fields, including aerospace, defence space (DefSpace), aerostructures, anti-drone systems, autonomous systems, robotics, communications, cybersecurity, surveillance and tracking, and unmanned ground vehicles. A special segment was dedicated to the winners of the ADITI (Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX) scheme, who were acknowledged for their exceptional contributions to critical and niche technologies.

The Karnataka Pavilion showcased the state’s leading-edge technologies in defence and aerospace, reinforcing Karnataka’s status as a hub for defence innovation. With a network of over 2,000 SMEs supporting this sector, the Karnataka Pavilion illustrated the robust ecosystem and its vital role in enhancing India’s defence capabilities.

22-Year-Old Woman Killed After Truck Runs Over Her in Jaipur

Jaipur: A 22-year-old woman died after a truck ran over her in Jaipur, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Liga Jimo, a native of Nagaland. She had been living in a rented house in Malviya Nagar for the past two years. She was working at a beauty parlour in the area.

The incident took place on Monday night. Liga Jimo was travelling to Malviya Nagar on a bike taxi.

According to police, the bike lost control near Gopalpura Pulia. As a result, the woman fell onto the road.

At the same time, a truck carrying gas cylinders came from behind and ran over her. She died on the spot due to the impact.

Police shifted the body to the mortuary for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway

Husband Revives Wife After Doctors Declare Her Dead

Mangaluru: A woman who was declared dead by doctors survived after her husband performed CPR for 35 minutes. The inspiring story of Komal Jamwal was shared on the Instagram page of Humans of Bombay and has gone viral.

The incident happened in March 2012 when Komal was 33 years old. She suddenly developed severe leg weakness and collapsed. Doctors at a hospital in Jammu later diagnosed her with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare condition that affects the nerves.

During treatment, she suffered repeated cardiac arrests and doctors declared her dead. However, her husband refused to give up and performed CPR for 35 minutes until her heart started beating again.

She was later treated in Ludhiana and slowly recovered. Now 14 years later, the 47-year-old woman can walk again and says she is grateful to her husband and family for saving her life.

Vallabh Maheshwari Dies in BMW Crash on Delhi–Mumbai Expressway

New Delhi: Vallabh Maheshwari, Managing Director of Shakun Group, died in a road accident on Sunday. He was 62 years old.

The accident happened on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway near Alwar. Maheshwari was travelling from Jaipur to Mathura.

Police said the BMW car was driven by his driver. The driver lost control of the vehicle. The car broke through roadside barricades and crashed into the median wall.

The impact of the crash badly damaged the luxury car.

Maheshwari and his driver were taken to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared Maheshwari dead. The driver survived without injuries.

Police suspect that high speed or a technical problem may have caused the accident. Further investigation is ongoing.
