This elaborate dance sequence features Deepika as Rani Padmavati, showcasing the traditional Rajasthani ‘ghoomar’ dance and quickly became a sensation.

What makes this moment even more impressive is Deepika’s ability to execute a staggering 66 twirls during the performance. However, it wasn’t just her impeccable dance that created a lasting impression. The actress donned a stunning lehenga weighing 30 kg, designed by Rimple Narula, valued at approximately Rs 30 lakh, accompanied by exquisite jewelry.

Deepika has shared insights into the extensive preparation that went into filming the “Ghoomar” sequence, describing it as one of the most challenging shoots of her career. “Shooting the Ghoomar song was incredibly demanding due to the grandeur of the set and the intense effort involved,” she recounted.

The emotional essence of the song was equally profound for Deepika. She expressed that during the initial shot, she felt as if the spirit of Padmavati had enveloped her. “It was during the Ghoomar song that I truly transformed into Padmaavat for the first time,” she reflected. “Walking onto the set for that first shot, a chill coursed through my body as I took my position, feeling as though Padmavati’s soul had entered me. That feeling still resonates with me.”
