CM Yogi: Akbar and Aurangzeb Share a Similar Mindset, Unveils Grand Statue of Maharana Pratap at NTPC Dadri
The Chief Minister unveiled a magnificent statue of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap in Dadri during a public gathering, where he honored Maharana Pratap’s extraordinary commitment to self-respect, faith, and nationhood, hailing him as a “true national hero.”
Taking place at the Maharana Pratap Stadium within the NTPC complex, the event allowed CM Yogi to elaborate on the heroic legacy of Maharana Pratap and also acknowledge Rana Sanga’s bravery.
During the ceremony, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 97 development projects amounting to Rs 1,467 crore for Gautam Buddh Nagar, further propelling the region’s development.
The Chief Minister spotlighted Maharana Pratap’s relentless dedication to his homeland and beliefs, noting his refusal to compromise for power. “At just 28, he confronted Akbar’s vast empire in battle,” CM Yogi recounted.
He drew attention to the Battle of Haldighati, underscoring that a warrior who faced a massive army with only 20,000 soldiers is indeed ‘our true hero.’ “Haldighati established Maharana Pratap as a national icon. He not only regained Mewar’s lost territories but also compelled Akbar to retreat,” he stated.
He also lauded Chetak, Maharana Pratap’s devoted horse, calling its loyalty legendary. “Even today, Haldighati’s soil is revered as a sacred site, representing India’s enriched heritage,” CM Yogi remarked.
Firmly asserting that “Akbar can never be a hero,” he noted that both Akbar and Aurangzeb held an antagonistic view towards Hindus and conspired against India’s enduring traditions. In contrast, Maharana Pratap made significant sacrifices to protect Sanatan culture.
He also recognized Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Guru Gobind Singh as true icons of the nation. “Those who disregard these revered figures exhibit a flawed perspective that needs rectification,” he commented.
CM Yogi inspired the younger generation to take lessons from these warriors, stating that Maharana Pratap’s life teaches us the importance of unwavering self-respect and faith. “This is why he remains etched in the memory of our nation,” he continued.
Discussing the recently concluded Mahakumbh and the ongoing Holi festivities in Braj, he mentioned that between January 13 and February 26, a record 66.3 crore devotees took part in the Mahakumbh without any issues, a testament to India’s culture and safety.
Regarding the Rangotsav of Braj, CM Yogi noted that international visitors are often amazed by India’s spirit of unity, where people from diverse backgrounds come together to celebrate Holi without discrimination.
He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, highlighting that faith is creating new opportunities for livelihoods, with India’s rich cultural heritage serving as a foundation for growth.
The Chief Minister criticized those spreading false narratives about the Mahakumbh, stating, “The more attempts made to instill doubt, the stronger the faith of Sanatan followers became, resulting in even greater numbers gathering for a sacred dip at Sangam in Prayagraj.”
Addressing claims regarding the pollution of the Ganga, he countered, “Flowing water and a wandering saint are never impure.” He emphasized that every Sanatani regards Triveni’s sacred waters as a symbol of faith.
CM Yogi also directed remarks towards those lacking awareness of India’s historical and cultural richness, saying, “Those who cannot comprehend India’s venerable river culture are narrow-minded, and unfortunately, such individuals persist in our country.”
Several significant announcements were made for Gautam Buddh Nagar, including plans for a government degree college, a 100-bed hospital, an ITI, and a stadium. He also approved an increase in circle rates for farmers and the development of a bypass.
Stressing the importance of modern skill development, he instructed the Chief Secretary to establish an ITI with a focus on AI, drone technology, and other cutting-edge fields. Highlighting the region’s rapid advancement, he declared that India’s largest airport in Jewar is nearing completion, and work on the Film City is progressing well. “Gautam Buddh Nagar has entered a new era of development,” he proclaimed.
On International Women’s Day, CM Yogi extended his heartfelt wishes to the women of Uttar Pradesh, reiterating his dedication to women’s safety and empowerment. He stated, “A self-reliant women’s workforce will propel Uttar Pradesh to become a growth engine for a developed India.”
Earlier that day, CM Yogi inaugurated several significant projects in Gautam Buddh Nagar, including a Data Centre, Microsoft Research & Development Center, AI Centre, and Sharda Group’s Multi-Super Specialty Hospital. Emphasizing the pivotal role of data in today’s landscape, he stated, “Data is everything, and global competition is centered around it.”
Discussing the state’s new industrial policy, he highlighted a transformation in approach: “Previously, investors focused solely on funding. Now, we instruct them—provide jobs for our youth, and we’ll offer incentives,” reinforcing the government’s commitment to an employment-driven economy.
Along with the unveiling of Maharana Pratap’s magnificent statue, the Chief Minister accelerated Gautam Buddh Nagar’s development by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 97 projects valued at Rs 1,467 crore. These projects encompass road construction, bridge development, industrial area advancement, and other crucial infrastructure.
Additionally, under the state government’s industrial policies, 14 units received an incentive package of Rs 617 crore, fostering investment and economic growth within the region.
