Bengaluru Tragedy Case: District Administration Hands Over Compensation Check to the Family of Deceased Chinmayi Shetty
Udupi: The district administration has handed over a compensation check to the family of Chinmayi Shetty, who lost her life during the RCB celebration in Bengaluru.
The district officials visited the residence of the Shetty family in Kuchchuru Road, Hebri taluk, Udupi district to present the check.
Speaking after receiving the government compensation, Chinmayi Shetty’s father, Karunakara Shetty, said, “We have lost our daughter. This pain is unbearable and continuous. This is an incident that cannot be forgotten. The government is responsible for the accident. We demand a CBI investigation into the case. We need to understand how the 11 deaths occurred. The RCB event was just a franchise. Was such a celebration necessary? Why was it held in front of Vidhana Soudha? This was not done during the Chennai or Mumbai victories. We request the government to offer a government job to the family. My daughter was not a cricket fan; she went with her friends. Children should not attend such events.” He said, emotionally.
District Collector Dr. Vidya Kumari, while expressing condolences to the grieving family, stated, “As per the government’s order, we have provided a compensation of 25 lakh rupees. The government will continue to support this family. The district administration is committed to providing any further assistance. May they be given the strength to endure this sorrow.”
