on

Young wicketkeeper Uma Chetry, offspinning allrounder Shreyanka Patil, seam bowlers Arundhati Reddy and Titas Sadhu, along with all-rounder Amanjot Kaur, will join established players Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Sneh Rana, and Pooja Vastrakar in Grade C. This announcement comes as the BCCI revealed the list of centrally contracted women’s players for 2024-25 on Monday. The Grade C contracts come with a retainer value of Rs 10 lakh.

The BCCI has granted a total of 16 contracts out of the 17 previously announced in April 2023. Contracts for the 2023-24 season had not been disclosed earlier. The updated list retains three prominent cricketers—Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, and Deepti Sharma—in Group A, each with a retainer value of Rs 50 lakh.

Furthermore, the BCCI retained four out of five players from the previous 2023-24 Grade B list, with a retainer value of Rs 30 lakh. The only player not retained was left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad, while Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, and Renuka Thakur have all been included.

Other notable absentees from the list include batters Harleen Deol, Pratika Rawal, and leg spinner Priya Mishra. Deol, returning from a lengthy injury layoff, scored her first international century in the home ODIs against the West Indies in January. Rawal has made an impressive start to her international career, having been included in every squad since her ODI debut against New Zealand in October. She was also one of the standout Indian players at the WPL 2025.

This list is recommended by the women’s senior selection panel, chaired by Neetu David and head coach Amol Muzumdar, and covers a 12-month period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

India’s upcoming schedule includes an ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka with South Africa in April, followed by a tour of England during the summer, as part of their FTP calendar leading up to the 50-over World Cup they are set to host in September.

Annual contracts list:

Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma

Grade B: Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Shafali Verma
