Autorickshaw Overturns in Yadgir; Municipal Worker Dies on the Spot

Yadgir: A tragic accident occurred in Kembhavi, Yadgir district, when an autorickshaw overturned after the driver lost control. A municipal worker died on the spot.

The victim has been identified as Hanumanta Chalavadi (45), a resident of Parasanhalli. He was working as a valve man in the Kembhavi Town Municipality.

He was travelling from Parasanhalli to Kembhavi on Tuesday morning to report for duty. During the journey, the autorickshaw driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. The autorickshaw overturned, leading to his immediate death.

The Kembhavi Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.

Double Murder in Shivamogga for Supporting Lovers

Shivamogga: A shocking double murder was reported from Jai Bhim Nagar in Bhadravathi town of Shivamogga district. Two men were killed for allegedly supporting a pair of lovers.

The victims have been identified as Kiran (25) and Manjunath (45). According to the police, the lovers had left their homes two days ago. On Friday evening, they came to the old police station to hold discussions with both families.

During the talks, the young woman clearly stated that she wanted to go with her lover. This statement reportedly angered her family members. They accused Kiran and others of helping the couple leave home.

An argument broke out between the woman’s brother, his friend Nandish, and Kiran. During the fight, Kiran was stabbed with a knife and died on the spot due to severe injuries.

Manjunath, a local resident, tried to intervene and stop the fight. He was also stabbed during the incident. He died while being taken to the hospital.

The police have registered a case in connection with the incident. Five accused persons have been arrested so far. Further investigation is underway

Fake Doctor’s Negligence Claims Woman’s Life in Barabanki

Uttar Pradesh: A woman died due to the alleged negligence of a fake doctor who attempted surgery after watching YouTube videos. The incident took place on December 6 in Barabanki. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Munishara.

According to her family, Munishara had been suffering from severe stomach pain and visited a clinic run by 48-year-old Gyanprakash Mishra. Mishra allegedly told the family that she had multiple gallbladder stones and required immediate surgery.

The family stated that Mishra first claimed another doctor would come to perform the procedure. However, no one arrived. Later, Mishra reportedly said he could perform the surgery by watching YouTube videos and proceeded with the operation. Munishara’s husband, Tej Bahadur Rawat, accused Mishra of acting as a doctor despite having no qualifications.

The procedure went wrong, and Munishara’s condition worsened the next day. By the time her husband reached the clinic, she had already died.

A medical inspection team later confirmed that Mishra’s clinic was not registered with the health department, Barabanki SP Arpit Vijayvargiya said.

Mishra’s nephew, who allegedly assisted during the surgery, has also absconded. Police have formed teams to trace both accused individuals.

Following the incident, villagers and the victim’s relatives staged a protest outside the clinic. The protest was withdrawn after senior officials assured them of swift action.

A case has been registered at Kothi Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

Gas Cylinder Explosion Destroys House in Koppal; Seven Seriously Injured

A major accident occurred in Hebbal village of Gangavati taluk after a gas cylinder exploded, completely flattening a house. Seven people were seriously injured and have been admitted to the Gangavati hospital.

The injured have been identified as Raj (38), Suresh (35), Durugappa (27), Huseinamma (40), Nagaraj (18), Durugamma (17), Vishnu (16), and Srikant (22).

According to initial reports, the family had recently brought home a new gas cylinder. The explosion happened when they tried to switch it on in the morning. The impact was massive, causing the house to collapse. Walls of nearby houses also developed cracks due to the blast.

Some neighbours who were standing close to the house also suffered burn injuries. The incident occurred under the limits of the Gangavati Rural Police Station. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the explosion.
