Amit Shah to Launch Election Campaign in Bihar This Sunday
It is expected that Shah will aim to broaden the party’s Hindutva appeal by addressing key topics such as the Waqf Amendment Bill, national security, and issues related to infiltration.
In addition to the rally, the BJP’s strategic leaders plan to hold meetings with party MPs, MLAs, senior officials, and key decision-makers to bolster the organization ahead of the assembly elections. During his visit to Bihar, Shah will also meet with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his residence, alongside prominent leaders from the BJP, JD(U), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party. This meeting is expected to provide clarity regarding Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
The key figures will engage in discussions to expedite the NDA’s election preparations and reinforce the alliance’s agenda, signaling that the NDA is entering the electoral contest with full force.
Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, criticized Amit Shah’s upcoming visit, suggesting that both Shah and Prime Minister Modi will be visiting Bihar frequently until November. He remarked that the BJP will highlight only Bihar’s glorious history in the lead-up to the elections. Kishor stated, “Until November, the foundation stone for every central scheme will be laid in Bihar, and funds for the Kisan Samman Nidhi will also come from Bihar. However, if the Home Minister genuinely cares about the people of Bihar, he should ensure that workers from Bihar employed in Gujarat factories receive wages equal to those of their Gujarati counterparts.”
He continued, “Amit Shah should also reveal how many Gujarati entrepreneurs have established factories in Bihar and how many factories were set up in the state over the past eleven years.”
