Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sky Force’ is gearing up for its television debut, with Amazon Prime Video set to stream the patriotic airstrike film starting March 21. The movie was released theatrically on January 24 and features key performances by Veer Pahariya and Sara Ali Khan. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, the project was produced by Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan. Despite a budget of 160 crores, the film received a lukewarm reception, grossing approximately 150 crores at the box office.

‘Sky Force’ draws inspiration from real events, depicting a significant airstrike in India’s military history. The narrative revolves around the Sargodha airbase attack during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965, showcasing one of India’s first and most devastating airstrikes on Pakistan. The film specifically follows Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja (played by Akshay Kumar) and Squadron Leader T Vijay, characters inspired by actual war heroes, VrC awardee Om Prakash Taneja and MVC awardee Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya.

In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar expressed his heartfelt connection to the film and its upcoming OTT release. He stated, “Sky Force is a movie that holds a special place in my heart. Beyond its inspiration from real-life events, this film delivers so much more than action—it’s about deep emotions, the unwavering passion to serve the nation, and the bonds that hold us together.”

He further shared, “Portraying Air Force pilot Kumar Om Ahuja has been a tremendous honor. The entire journey—from collaborating with an incredibly talented team to experiencing the audience’s enthusiastic response—has been truly rewarding. I am excited for ‘Sky Force’ to now reach viewers on Prime Video.”
