Ajay Devgn Showcases His Star Power in Promotion of ‘Kaushaljis vs Kaushal’

On Monday, the creators of the family drama unveiled its trailer, offering a glimpse into its touching storyline. Directed by Seemaa Desai and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Umesh Shukhla, Ashish Wagh, and Parag Desai under Jio Studios, Merry Go Round Studios, and Mumbai Talkeez, “Kaushaljis vs Kaushal” narrates the journey of 27-year-old Yug Kaushal, who relocates to Delhi, leaving behind his small-town upbringing in Kannauj.
In a recent statement, director Seemaa Desai shared, “’Kaushaljis vs Kaushal’ is a heartfelt exploration of the generational gap between Gen X and Millennials. At its heart, it’s a tale of love—complicated yet beautiful. It delves into family dynamics, showcasing both imperfections and second chances. While many love stories spotlight young couples, we wanted to highlight those who have been in relationships for decades. The film offers a lighthearted yet profound examination of marriage and poses the question: can love endure despite years of conflict? I believe audiences will resonate with the lovable characters, laughing and crying along, seeing their own family dynamics reflected on screen. It’s a reflective piece crafted sincerely for the heart.”
Ashutosh Rana, who plays a prominent role in the film, stated, “This movie offers a charming perspective on relationships, love, and the modern-day challenges of marriage. Portraying Mr. Kaushal was an absolute delight; he’s a unique character—a qawwali-loving accountant full of quirks, emotions, and humor. I am eager for audiences to experience this distinct family drama. It’s particularly exciting that it will be available on JioHotstar, bringing a laughter-filled adventure directly to your screens. Get ready for a heartwarming, entertaining, and relatable experience!”
“Kaushaljis vs Kaushal” also features Sheeba Chaddha, Pavail Gulati, Isha Talwar, Brijendra Kala, and Grusha Kapoor. The film is set to premiere on February 21 on JioHotstar.

Jewel Thief”: Kunal Kapoor Playfully Labels Co-Star Saif Ali Khan a “Pain

In an interview with **Filmygyan**, the cast shared their experiences working together. Kunal Kapoor humorously described his time on set, joking that Saif was a “pain” to work with. While the rest of the cast expressed their enjoyment of the filming process, Kunal felt a bit differently. “I felt lonely, as my character is on the chase and not with them in the film. They had fun together while I was off on my own,” he explained.
Kunal also recounted his working relationship with Saif: “He is indeed a pain! It was challenging because he often didn’t show up on time, and when he did, he wasn’t familiar with his lines. This meant we had to wait for him to get ready for each take.” The cast shared a laugh about it, noting that with Saif’s limited presence on social media, he might never catch wind of Kunal’s jests.
Directed by **Kookie Gulati** and **Robbie Grewal**, **‘Jewel Thief’** is produced by **Siddharth Anand** and **Mamta Anand** under Marflix Pictures. The film’s synopsis from Netflix teases: “A crime lord hires a master thief to steal the world’s most elusive diamond—the African Red Sun. Ricky Kej Pays Tribute to AR Rahman: “He Paved the Way for Musicians Like Me”

In a touching Instagram post that resonated with music enthusiasts, Kej shared a photo alongside Rahman, commending his significant impact on the music landscape in India.
“In my opinion, no one has contributed more to nurturing new talent, singers, instrumentalists, ensembles, and the overall music scene than AR Rahman,” he expressed.
This was more than just an admiration moment. With three Grammy awards to his name and a fourth nomination awaiting in 2025, Kej knows firsthand the weight of his words.
From folk to classical, pop to contemporary, he believes Rahman has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of musicians across all genres in India.
“He has personally employed countless musicians,” Kej emphasized. “Through his artistry, he has helped various musical styles flourish and opened new opportunities, allowing musicians like me to connect with global audiences.”
Kej also voiced his concerns regarding the unjust criticism Rahman sometimes endures. “It’s painful to witness people targeting him as a soft target; this has to change,” he defended the icon who has profoundly influenced the sound of Indian cinema for over three decades.

While showering kudos on Rahman, Kej is also thriving in his own right. Following his first Grammy win in 2015 for ‘Winds of Samsara’, he made headlines again with ‘Divine Tides’, a collaboration with Stewart Copeland, the drummer of The Police — an album that secured him two more Grammys in 2022 and 2023.
Looking ahead to 2025, Kej is back in the Grammy race with his album ‘Break of Dawn’. In a previous interview, he referred to it as his “best work to date.”
What sets it apart? It’s not just about the melodies — it carries a profound message. “As an environmentalist, this album arises from a focus on mental wellness and environmental awareness,” he explained.
Inspired by ancient Indian raags and spiritual teachings, ‘Break of Dawn’ aims to harness music as a source of healing. “To cleanse the environment, we must first cleanse our minds,” he elaborated.
Meanwhile, the iconic AR Rahman continues to forge ahead with his latest concert tour, ‘Wonderment’, set to launch on May 3 at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. This tour marks the beginning of a global journey that promises to be as enchanting as its title suggests.
“Each note, each rhythm tells a story,” Rahman conveyed in a statement about the concert. “With ‘Wonderment’, my goal is to blend tradition with innovation, celebrating both the past and future through music.” He noted that Mumbai is the ideal starting point due to its vibrant energy and spirit.
