The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has expressed its strong disapproval of a recent episode of the YouTube series “India’s Got Latent,” hosted by comedian Samay Raina, due to an inappropriate comment made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps. In an official statement, AICWA demanded an immediate ban on the show and legal action against all parties involved.

The issue arose when Allahbadia made a distasteful joke during his appearance, which quickly garnered significant backlash and went viral. His commentary included a provocative question directed at a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents… or join in once and stop it forever?” This remark was deemed highly inappropriate and sparked outrage among both the artistic community and social media users, prompting AICWA’s response.

AICWA criticized Allahbadia’s statements as offensive and harmful to “societal and family values.” They labeled the content of the episode as “abhorrent and vile,” calling it a threat to the moral fabric of society. Additionally, the association called on the Indian film industry to boycott “India’s Got Latent,” urging a complete dissociation from both host Samay Raina and guest Ranveer Allahbadia, recommending that no future collaborations occur with them.

The organization also called for the swift removal of the controversial episode and emphasized the need for stricter regulations surrounding digital content to prevent similar incidents in the future.

In response to the escalating backlash, Allahbadia issued a public apology. In a video shared on his social media account X, he expressed remorse for his inappropriate joke, admitting it was “not funny” and acknowledging his lapse in judgment regarding comedic standards.

“I just want to apologize. My comment wasn’t just inappropriate; it wasn’t even funny. Comedy isn’t my strong suit, and I accept full responsibility for my poor judgment. It wasn’t cool of me,” Allahbadia stated.

He further explained that he would not delve into justifications for the remark, focusing instead on his apology. In addition to his statement, he requested that the creators of “India’s Got Latent” remove the offending sections from the episode. “I have asked the producers to edit out the insensitive parts from the video. In closing, I just want to say I’m sorry, and I hope you can forgive me,” he added.

‘Banana Botox’ Goes Viral: Adah Sharma Tests the Unusual Beauty Hack

Published

on

Mumbai: Actress Adah Sharma has joined the viral ‘Banana Botox’ skincare trend, which has been gaining attention on social media. The unusual beauty hack involves rubbing the inside of a banana peel on the face.

The trend has become popular among people looking for simple and natural skincare methods. Supporters claim that banana peel can make the skin look smoother, softer and temporarily tighter.

Adah Sharma recently tried the hack and shared her experience with her followers on Instagram. In her humorous video, she called banana peel the “cheapest alternative to Botox” and showed how it is applied to the face.

“This is Banana Botox. Pick up a banana peel and stick it on your face with respect,” Sharma said jokingly.

She also made several humorous comments while trying the beauty hack. The actress said the method was inspired by another video and mentioned that it recommended using the hack every day for three weeks.

However, banana peel cannot replace Botox injections. While bananas and their peels contain nutrients and plant compounds, there is no strong evidence that rubbing a banana peel on the skin can produce results similar to Botox.

Botox works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to specific facial muscles. It can reduce the appearance of certain wrinkles, with results generally lasting for several months.

Other established skincare ingredients, such as retinoids and vitamin C, can also help improve skin texture and support collagen production. Keeping the skin hydrated and maintaining a balanced, nutrient-rich diet can further support healthy-looking skin.

Experts also caution that natural skincare methods are not completely risk-free. Applying banana peel directly to the face may cause irritation or an allergic reaction, especially in people with sensitive skin.

Those trying a DIY skincare remedy should first test it on a small area of skin. The product should be washed off immediately if burning, itching, redness or irritation occurs.
