After the AV Parody Controversy, Park Sung Hoon Set to Make a Comeback
On March 26, media sources reported that Park Sung Hoon will star opposite Han Ji Min in the upcoming romantic K-drama titled ‘Efficient Dating of Single Men and Women.’ According to reports, he is currently in discussions with the production team regarding his role.
‘Efficient Dating of Single Men and Women’ will follow the journey of a hotelier in search of love. During a blind date, she grapples with the dilemma of choosing between charming suitors, all while trying to discover the true essence of romance. This series is based on Tari’s webtoon of the same name.
For this series, Han Ji Min has been approached for the role of the hotelier, while Park Sung Hoon has been offered one of the male lead roles. The drama will be backed by SLS.
This update comes on the heels of last year’s controversy, which led Sung Hoon to withdraw from ‘The Tyrant’s Chef.’ For those unfamiliar, on December 30, 2024, he mistakenly uploaded a photo of an adult video cover parodying ‘Squid Game’ on his Instagram. The poster featured Japanese adult video actresses in nude parodies of the show. Although he deleted the post shortly after, many fans had already seen it, and screenshots quickly circulated across various online platforms, leading to a surge of criticism against the actor.
In response to the fallout, Sung Hoon’s agency, BH Entertainment, released a statement clarifying the situation. “Park Sung Hoon received numerous DMs on social media and accidentally posted it while reviewing his messages. The actor himself is surprised and deeply apologizes for this error during such sensitive times. He assures that he will take greater care to prevent similar incidents in the future.”
Manipal: The makers of the upcoming Tulu film Kajja have released the vibrant video song “Tulunada Mann,” offering a colourful tribute to the culture and heritage of Tulunadu.
The song is sung by music director Likit Prasad Shetty and Divyanidhi Rai, with lead actor Siddharth Shetty delivering energetic dance performances. Beautifully shot by cinematographer Chantu Meppayur, the video showcases iconic locations across Mangaluru, including Kudroli, along with traditional art forms such as Bharatanatyam and Tiger Dance.
Penned by Mohan Raj and composed by Likit Prasad Shetty, the track highlights the rich cultural identity of the coastal region.

Produced by Vishanth Menezes under the Sumukha Productions banner, Kajja is directed by Jishnu S. Menon and Siddharth Shetty. The film also features multilingual actor Vasishta N. Simha in a key role.
Following special premiere screenings across Coastal Karnataka, Kajja is set for a statewide theatrical release on June 11.

Reports now suggest that popular actor, director, and choreographer Raghava Lawrence may contest the upcoming by-election from Tiruchchi East on behalf of Vijay’s TVK party. The news has been widely discussed on social media.
Raghava Lawrence is known for his charitable work and support for differently-abled people, orphaned children, and senior citizens. His strong public image is seen as an advantage if he enters the race.
Earlier, rumours claimed that actress Trisha Krishnan would contest from the constituency, but those reports were later dismissed.

The by-election for Tiruchchi East has not yet been announced, and there has been no official confirmation regarding the party’s candidate. However, reports indicate that Vijay may choose a close associate to contest from the seat.
Film : Kannada star actor Duniya Vijay is set to appear in the upcoming Telugu film Slum Dog. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role and is directed by Puri Jagannadh.
The film has already created a positive buzz in the Telugu film industry. Reports suggest that Duniya Vijay will be seen in a unique and important role.
The makers have announced that the first teaser of Slum Dog will be released on June 8. They also shared a new poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi holding a blood-stained weapon.
The film is said to be based on life in a slum and revolves around a beggar mafia story. Earlier, the team released a poster of Duniya Vijay in a colorful outfit and hat, creating curiosity about his character.
