Bollywood actor Abhishek Banerjee has revealed the compelling reason behind his enthusiastic agreement to make a cameo in Rajkummar Rao’s debut production, ‘Toaster’. He elaborated that it was more than just the film that attracted him; it was his close friendship with Rajkummar and his wife, Patralekha, who are embarking on their first production journey with this project.

Abhishek stated, “When Rajkummar asked me to be part of his inaugural production venture, I didn’t think twice. Our professional relationship has evolved into a genuine friendship over the years, and I felt it was important to support him and Patra. It was truly about being there for friends, rather than just focusing on the role or the film.”

Rajkummar and Abhishek have previously collaborated on successful films like the ‘Stree’ franchise, and their on-screen chemistry reflects their strong friendship off-screen.

‘Toaster’ signifies a major milestone for Rajkummar and Patralekha, marking their debut in production. The project was recently announced by Netflix, which unveiled an exciting lineup of releases for 2025.
