AAP Should Focus on Explaining the Loss of Its Top Leaders Instead of Worrying About BJP and Government Formation in Delhi: Kapoor

Published

on

In response to Aam Aadmi Party leader Priyanka Kakkar’s remarks regarding the Chief Minister candidate selection, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated on Wednesday that it is regrettable that AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Kakkar, continue to make unfounded claims despite being rejected by the public. He suggested, “Instead of focusing on the BJP and government formation, Priyanka Kakkar should clarify why Kejriwal and Sisodia faced defeat and where Amanatullah Khan is hiding.”

Kapoor criticized AAP, stating that after enduring defeat and rejection from all segments of society in the recent Delhi assembly elections, it was anticipated that its leaders would abandon the politics of lies and deceit.

He accused Priyanka Kakkar of fabricating statements in a desperate bid for media attention shortly after the election results were announced. Kapoor asserted that the public is now alarmed by the power struggles emerging in Punjab following AAP’s loss in Delhi. He claimed that the people of Delhi expect Kejriwal, disheartened by his defeat, to take decisive action against his legislators, particularly those with criminal backgrounds like Amanatullah Khan.

NIA Assumes Leadership of Investigation into Pahalgam Terror Attack

Published

on

Just days after a tragic attack claimed the lives of 26 people, including both a local and a foreign national, at Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation from local police. The NIA has initiated its probe into this deadly assault on Hindu tourists in the region.

According to reports, the agency registered a formal FIR on Saturday, following directives from the Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalisation (CTCR) division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

An NIA team had already visited the scenic Baisaran valley on April 23, just a day after the horrific attack, to assist local authorities before taking full control of the investigation. The attack has been claimed by the Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy group of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The NIA’s investigation is now in full swing, with teams questioning eyewitnesses from the April 22 incident. “The teams, supervised by an IG, a DIG, and an SP from the agency, are meticulously interviewing those who witnessed the shocking events in the tranquil Baisaran valley. They are gathering detailed accounts to reconstruct the sequence of events leading to one of the most devastating terror attacks in Kashmir,” stated the NIA.

Furthermore, the agency is rigorously examining entry and exit points for insights into the terrorists’ methods. NIA teams, supported by forensic experts, are conducting a thorough search of the area to uncover evidence that could unravel the terror conspiracy behind this heart-wrenching attack that has sent shockwaves across the nation.
