The Mahakumbh in Prayagraj holds profound significance for Sanatan Dharma, drawing even Hindu devotees from Pakistan to partake in its spiritual offerings.
A group of 68 Hindu pilgrims from Sindh arrived at the Maha Kumbh to take a sacred dip in the Sangam and perform rituals to immerse their ancestors’ ashes.

The Pakistani devotees were awestruck by the divine beauty and impeccable arrangements of the event, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the rich spiritual and cultural experience of Mahakumbh 2025.

Mahakumbh is not only the largest congregation associated with the Sanatan faith but also one of the most important religious and spiritual events worldwide. Devotees from around the globe are flocking to Prayagraj to join this grand celebration of faith and tradition. Among them, a delegation of 68 Sanatan followers from Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces made their way to the Sangam Ghat to participate.

This group traveled to Prayagraj on a special visa to perform rituals for their ancestors’ ashes. Mahant Ramnath Ji, who led them, noted that prior to their visit to Prayagraj, they had been to Haridwar, where they immersed the ashes of nearly 480 ancestors and conducted ceremonies for their spiritual peace. After this sacred act, they continued to Prayagraj to immerse themselves in the holy waters of the Sangam during the Maha Kumbh, praying for the liberation of their ancestors’ souls.

The devotees expressed that their strong connection to the Sanatan faith and the spiritual allure of Mahakumbh compelled them to this holy site. They had long cherished the dream of participating in Mahakumbh, taking a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam, and returning with sacred water. This journey was not merely their desire—it was the hope of their ancestors as well.

Grateful for their experience, the devotees extended their thanks to the Government of India and the Yogi Adityanath administration of Uttar Pradesh, recognizing their role in facilitating their participation in this magnificent event. They praised the arrangements at Mahakumbh, highlighting the ambiance, quality of food, and cleanliness as exceptional.

Reflecting on their experiences back home in Pakistan, they noted the restrictions on temple visits, making their participation in Mahakumbh all the more meaningful. They felt blessed not only for themselves but also for their parents and ancestors, who have now found peace.

Having listened to stories about the sacred land of Prayagraj and the Sangam since childhood, they expressed that bathing in the holy Ganga was a fulfillment of their life’s aspirations.
