12 Arrested for Assaulting Comedian Pranit More Over Veer Pahariya Joke

Published

on

On Sunday, a comedian named Pranit More was reportedly attacked by a group of 11-12 men after he performed at 24K Kraft Brewzz in Solapur, Maharashtra. The assailants identified themselves as fans of budding actor Veer Pahariya and took offense to More’s jokes about him. Pahariya, the grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, recently made his acting debut in ‘Sky Force.’More’s team posted on social media that the group assaulted him viciously, throwing punches and kicks that left him severely injured.

The post further elaborated, “The leader of the attack was Tanveer Shaikh, who made their intentions clear: they wanted to punish Pranit for his jokes about Veer Pahariya. One of the attackers even issued a chilling warning, stating, ‘Agli Baar Veer Pahariya baba pe joke maarke dikha! (Next time, try making a joke on Veer Pahariya)’—a direct threat suggesting that more severe repercussions would follow if he dared to joke about the actor again.”

Pranit’s team also pointed out that the venue, 24K Kraft Brewzz, lacked adequate security. They requested access to security camera footage but were denied by the management. Although they attempted to contact the police, no assistance arrived at the scene.

Following this incident, Solapur police summoned Pranit More to provide his statement, but he did not attend, according to an official report on Wednesday. Consequently, the police registered a case based on a complaint from the restaurant owner where More had performed.

In a response, Veer Pahariya took to his Instagram stories to denounce the attack on Pranit. He expressed his shock and sadness, stating, “I want to make it absolutely clear—I had no involvement in this, and I strongly condemn any form of violence. I have always taken trolling in stride, laughed along with it, and shown love even to my critics. I would never encourage or support harm towards anyone, especially someone from the same creative community.” He concluded by offering his support, saying, “I’m truly sorry this happened to you, and I will do everything in my power to ensure those responsible are held accountable. Sending you strength.”

Saiyami Kher Reveals Pressure of Casting Couch in Telugu Industry at 19

The casting couch remains a troubling reality in the film industry, and recently, Saiyami Kher courageously shared her own unsettling encounter. The actress recounted an instance from when she was around 19 or 20, where a female casting agent in the Telugu film industry suggested that she would need to “make compromises” to secure a role. Rather than backing down, Saiyami confronted the agent with a calm yet assertive confidence.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Saiyami reflected on the experience, combining disbelief with maturity.

“I was fortunate with the roles I was offered, but there was this one occasion when a female casting agent told me, ‘You will have to make compromises.’ Given that it was a woman making this statement, I felt compelled to challenge her,” she shared. “It was an unsettling moment because it felt like betrayal coming from someone who should empathize with another woman’s struggles.”

Instead of brushing it off, Saiyami maintained her composure and sought clarification.

“I kept asking, ‘Ma’am, I don’t quite understand what you mean,’ hoping she would clarify her words,” she explained. When the agent eventually hinted at her implication, Saiyami responded firmly: “I’m sorry if you think I’m someone who would consider this path, but there are boundaries I won’t cross.” That ended the conversation.

Saiyami noted that this was a unique incident, the only time she felt such pressure from a woman in the industry. Known for her roles in both Hindi and Telugu films—starting with her debut in ‘Mirzya’ to her recent performance in Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’—Saiyami Kher joins a rising number of actors who are speaking out about their experiences with the casting couch in Indian cinema.

Tom Cruise Skirts Father’s Day Question: A Chill Response or a Deliberate Dodge?

Published

on

Tom Cruise is making headlines once again—not just for his action-packed role in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” but also for an unexpected moment during a recent red carpet appearance in New York.

While promoting the latest chapter of his iconic spy series, a casual Father’s Day question turned heads. During a brief interview with ‘E! News,’ Cruise was reminded that Father’s Day was “just around the corner,” leading the interviewer to ask what his ideal Father’s Day would look like.

You might think it was an innocent question, but Cruise seemed taken aback. After a brief pause and a glance away, he offered a vague yet cheerful response: “Hey, just having fun, man. Making movies, big adventure, having a great time.”

No mention of his three children, no heartfelt sentiments—just a focus on films and adventure.

Naturally, this caught the attention of social media. Cruise is a father to three: Isabella (32) and Connor (30), both adopted with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, and biological daughter Suri (19) with ex-wife Katie Holmes. His relationship with Suri has long been scrutinized, especially after he missed her high school graduation last year. Notably, she chose to go by “Suri Noelle,” omitting his last name for her mother’s middle name instead. Now attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Suri is carving her own path, seemingly distanced from her father’s fame.

This seemingly simple question has reignited discussions about Cruise’s personal life, particularly as the holiday celebrating fathers approaches. While he typically maintains a private stance on family matters, his quick dodge has given fans and media plenty to speculate about.

On the professional side, Cruise continues to thrive. “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” marks the eighth installment of the adrenaline-fueled franchise, directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The film brings back familiar faces like Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Pom Klementieff, while new talent includes Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, and Hannah Waddingham.
